Greg Chemello has 30 years' experience in the property and development sectors and has held senior professional, management and leadership roles with both (public and private sector) property asset owners and private sector advisory/consulting businesses.
With qualifications in town planning, environmental science and business management, Greg has managed an extensive range of private and public sector development projects across the civic, sport/leisure/entertainment, residential, retail, commercial and industrial sectors.
In addition to delivery of development projects, Greg has extensive business management experience having undertaken General Manager/senior executive roles for a number of private companies and public sector organisations, especially during periods of significant organisational transformation. Greg has developed considerable expertise in areas such as strategic planning, governance, change management, commercial negotiation and stakeholder management and communication.
A/Deputy Director-General, Local Government and Regional Services
Paul is Acting Deputy Director-General, Local Government and Regional Services. Paul brings with him 10 years’ experience in the local government portfolio and has previously been employed in private and public enterprise and has worked in local government in Victoria. He has an extensive experience in employee relations, industrial relations and human resource management. Paul has been involved in a number of large projects during his time with the department.
Deputy Director-General, Strategy, Governance and Engagement
Kathy Parton joined the department from the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA), where she was General Manager of Communication and Strategic Engagement. At the QRA Kathy led a team that oversaw engagement and governance activities as part of the $13 billion rebuilding program following the 2010-11 Queensland floods.
Previously Kathy has held senior roles with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, including leading the Queensland Government's crisis communications network during the response to the Queensland Floods and Tropical Cyclone Yasi. Kathy has worked in media, communication and advertising in Queensland and overseas, and holds qualifications in English, journalism, writing, editing and publishing.
